Claire Danes, Kerry Washington & More Set the Bar High

Last night marked the best Sunday TV lineup ever. I watched the Golden Globe Awards and Girls, but Shameless premiered with its new season along with a few other shows. I posted up on my couch all night in my pajamas switching between season 1 of Girls (and the new episode of course, OMG love!) and the Golden Globes red carpet.

In my opinion, the ladies set the bar high for themselves, kicking off this award show season with oodles of great fashion. Watching last night’s red carpet was making me so anxious to see how everyone will dress for the Oscars. Here are a few pictures of gorgeous women like Jennifer Garner, Isla Fisher and Adele. Can it Always be Award Show Season?

Award show season is always entertaining. I love seeing these beautiful and talented women debut their gowns, shoes, hair and makeup. Side note: Every red carpet should have a mani-cam like the one E! used at the 2012 Emmy Awards, which was inspired by Zooey Deschanel.

Getting back to the point. Most of the attention is typically on the women but I think the men need a little more loving. Last night at the Critics’ Choice Awards, Ben Affleck and Bradley Cooper were looking sharp and I can’t help but love their scruffy look! I definitely won’t get tired of seeing these two walking the red carpet at upcoming award shows. (more…)

And the Oscar Goes To…

Well, no one as of yet. This morning Emma Stone and Seth MacFarlane announced the nominees for the 85th annual Academy Awards, which airs on February 24th.

Lincoln leads the pack with an outstanding 12 nominations! Life of Pi with 11, Les Misérables and Silver Linings Playbook each got 8 and Argo with 7. (more…)

Fight the Cold with Nutella Hot Chocolate

Food Temperatures are really starting to drop here on the East Coast and I’m not exactly the happiest camper. Normally, the cold doesn’t bother me but this season I’ve been feeling like my toes are going to fall off and my hands are constantly the equivalent to icicles.

Since I can’t rip my fireplace out of my living room wall and carry it with my everywhere, hot chocolate is my next best option to keeping me warm. Hot chocolate is the best when it’s creamy and super chocolatey, so when I found this Nutella Hot Chocolate recipe from Kirbie’s Cravings, I had to immediately share it.

It’s super easy and doesn’t require a lot of ingredients, so what could be better? Spend a day this weekend snuggled up on the couch for a movie marathon with tons of blankets and a big mug of Nutella hot chocolate. Sounds good to me.

A Look Back on 2012 Through YouTube

I came across this emotional video on Mashable. Two days ago, Jean-Louis Nguyen posted this video montage on his YouTube Channel. Set to the song of “The Might Rio Grande” by This Will Destroy You, it includes moments of happiness and sadness. He put together clips of important and impacting events like Hurricane Sandy, the London Olympics, the suicide of Amanda Todd and many more that occurred in 2012.

This video doesn’t seem any more appropriate to surface the web than now, considering all the speculation the world is coming to end December 21, according to the Mayan calendar. (more…)
