‘Blurred Lines’ Model Named Esquire.com Woman of the Year

Of course, by now everyone has seen Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ music video. The face above has been plastered all over the Internet recently and with over 201 million YouTube views for ‘Blurred Lines’ (and that’s just the censored version!) it’s likely that everyone knows who this model is, or uh, what her body looks like.

Emily Ratajkowski was just named Woman of the Year by Esquire.com, beating out the insanely awesome Jennifer Lawrence with a 64.6% of readers’ votes after a 5-round bracket tournament. So, what makes her so special? Get to know a little more about Emily after the jump.

The 22-year-old, London-born model is “taking the bull by the horns” as they say. After being persuaded into doing the ‘Blurred Lines’ music video, Emily has landed herself a spread in GQ shot by Terry Richardson, a role opposite of Ben Affleck in David Fincher’s film adaptation of Gone Girl and she is the latest model to be a part of the Rag & Bone DIY Project.

Ms. Ratajkowski says:

“So whether I’m talking about a perfume, a movie or an editorial, there’s always a part of it that’s about me but an equal part that’s about the project. I want to be a brand.”

Emily also says people are most surprised to find out that she isn’t foreign. She says to Rag & Bone, “A lot of people thought I was after Blurred Lines’ came out and in meeting me were surprised to find out I was raised in California!”

Oh, and here’s a helpful hint: her last name is pronounced Rat-a-kow-ski because the J is silent. Be on the lookout for this bombshell. We don’t think she’s going anywhere any time soon.
