2014 Golden Globes Nominees Announced!

Award season is upon us! The Golden Globes are the award show that pretty much kick off the winter awards season. This morning Olivia Wilde, Zoe Saldana and Aziz Ansari woke bight and early to announce this year’s nominees. The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 12, 2014 and are hosted once again (yay!) by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

Leading the nominations are 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle, which earned seven nominations each including Best Picture honors. In the television category, Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey and Brooklyn Nine-Nine were the most nominated. Meanwhile, last year Homeland was one of the top-nominated TV shows and this year didn’t earn a single nomination, nor did Claire Danes or the rest of the cast.

Woody Allen will be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.”
