Top 5 Spring/Summer Trends

Girlie brunches, beach days, date nights, hot summer vacations…you've got lots to do this spring & summer.  But have no fear, because we have plenty of trendy options to add to your wardrobe.  From color blocking to neutralizing, check out my favorite top 5 trends for the season below:

#1: Bust out that '70s flare:  Say goodbye to skinnies, or at least tuck them to the back of your drawer for a bit.  This season it's all about bringing out your bell bottoms/wide leg jeans.  I could not be happier that the '70s bell is back and better than ever.  With so many flattering and comfortable options, these wide legs are sure to make everyone happy.

#2: Bust Out Some Color:  In case you've been in the dark this season, bold and bright neon colors are back! What fashion insiders call "color blocking," is a hot trend right now.  You can get your wardrobe in tune with this trend by adding one bold punch of color, or better yet, wear two bold colors at the same time.  The only key to doing this is making sure that the colors are very bold and very opposite.  For example, wear a bright neon orange with a bold cobalt blue scarf.

#3: Punch It Up With Print:  Just because you may not be traveling the world this spring doesn't mean you can't look like you have.  Worldly, exotic prints are one of my favorite trends right now because they can work as a statement piece with just about any outfit.  Grab a fun necklace or shoe in primitive prints to add zest to your life.

#4: Florals:  This spring/summer I am hereby giving you permission to flirt…with floral!  Wearing floral print can be fun and girlie, but it doesn't always have to be.  By adding floral to your look, it will soften out any outfit that may feel a bit rough around the edges.

#5: Neutralize: It's quick, it's easy, it's classic… it's neutral.  You can never go wrong wearing a neutral tone.  Easily taking you from day to night, neutrals can be a great transition piece to carry you through spring & summer.
