One of the toughest jobs in the world is to be a mother. It’s nice to have one day a year that’s guaranteed to appreciate all the hard work and effort mom’s everywhere have to deal with on a daily basis. It would be nice if there were two, three…or four days dedicated to it! But we’re just saying.
Obviously since it’s Mother’s Day you will receive gifts from your children saying how much they love you and that you are the best mom in the whole world. And while you may cherish and look forward to opening these precious gifts that may possibly get stowed away somewhere, eaten (you can’t resist those chocolates) or die (I’m talking about flowers!), you should treat yourself. Yes, that’s right. We want you to buy yourself something this Mother’s Day! (more…)
We’ve gone through some roller coaster-style weather here in New York this past year. Rain storms, tons of snow, Hurricane Sandy and too many gray days left me begging for spring time. Our first couple weeks of spring wasn’t all that great honestly. It was kinda grey and chilly, but now the sun is shining and the flowers are starting to bloom lining the sidewalks with vibrant colors.
Now that warm spring weather is in full effect, I find the sleeves on my tops are slowly inching up towards my shoulders. And although I love wearing boots, I love when it comes time to ditch them for half the year and switch to flats and sandals. When I think of spring my mind goes straight to light-wash denim, slouchy tops and lightweight sweaters. On that note, here are a few of my must-have items that no wardrobe should be without! (more…)
Spring 2013 is being referred to as a “balancing act” according to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. She says, “…we look for balance between light and bright, classic and new. This season’s color palette emphasizes this need for balance, while at the same time allowing for individuality, self-expression and excitement.”
Take a look at the four trends I’m most excited about for spring! (more…)
For most of us on the East Coast, the temperatures have been dropping and the air is crisp and cold. Unlike many people, the cold temperatures don’t necessarily bother us too much, but lately we’ve been itching to have the sand in our toes and the sun on our backs.
Given the holiday season (can’t believe it’s already here!) many people start planning tropical vacations or spring breaks to escape the winter weather in exchange for a week or two in the sun. We picked our must-have items from brands like J Brand, Ray-Ban and Eugenia Kim. If you’re hitting up the sun or you’re lucky to live in a warm climate year round, take a look below and shop our sun essentials! (more…)

In my opinion, Cyber Monday is way better than Black Friday. I rather lay in my bed on my laptop and score awesome deals than wait outside on a freezing line for hours and risk not getting what I waited for. It’s also just so much easier and convenient. Take 20% off your SINGER22 order today with code: CYBER and it ends tonight so hurry up and go fill that shopping bag!
I put together my wishlist for Cyber Monday that mostly consists of holiday/winter inspired pieces. Take a look below!
Our lovely model, Katrina, was sporting amazing plaid nails for one of our mailers that was for, well, the obvious…plaid. I feel like plaid is one of those prints that will never really go out of style, and there's just something about it that makes me feel all cozy inside. Maybe because it makes me think of cold weather and sitting by a fire? Who knows. Anyway, here are a few of my favorite plaid pieces. (more…)
We’re halfway through October (uhh, already?!) which means it’s time to start planning your Halloween costumes. I’ve never been one of those people who wait until the day before to run up and down the aisles of Party City just hoping to get any costume left. So this year be good and plan ahead! Making costumes is always the best, but if you aren’t too crafty you can at least buy pieces to put together a whole look.
Here’s a helpful guide to share some super easy and classic costume ideas that will never go out of style. Plus, you can totally wear all of these items even after Halloween. Bonus points! (more…)
