Always Travel in Style

I took a trip back to the South for Mother’s Day weekend to surprise my mom. She’s impossible to shop for, so being the narcissist I am, I thought I was the best present to show up on her doorstep. No one knew I was visiting, so when I showed up with a bouquet of flowers (above) and walked through the front door at dinnertime everyone was thrilled. I was relieved that she was so happy to see me because I figured I would either be welcomed with excitement or scolded for being so good at lying for a month about the planned trip and sneaking down the East Coast. Baked by MelissaBaked by Melissa. Three words that can grab my attention in less than a second. I’m a huge cupcake lover and what can be better than mini cupcakes with wacky, but oh-so-yummy flavors? If you have never experienced the euphoria of Baked by Melissa, then you need to re-evaluate every decision you’ve made about cupcakes…and life (just kidding, kind of).

Aside from cupcakes (and every other morsel of food) I love shopping, I mean, what girl doesn’t? Let’s be serious. I have been eyeing this hat for a couple months now. It’s so chic. Its a step away from the typical fedora, finally a different hat that adds character to an outfit.

Get The Look: Fur/Rocker Chic

There isn't a better look for the winter season than wearing leggings, booties and a faux fur vest over any of your adorable tops.  It can easily transition from day to night, from work to play, all the while keeping you stylishly cool. This is my favorite look of the season and so easy to pack for.  All you need is a pair of leggings, a vest and a bootie because this look compliments virtually any top in your closet.

1. The Battalion Munro Faux Fur Vest

I love this vest because it's super warm and it's faux fur.  It's not too thick to wear under a jacket if you live in cooler climates. Being a huge fan of gray, I love wearing this vest with all black because it really pops.

2. Wilt Shrunken Angel Tank

Super soft, snuggly and stylish I find myself wearing my Wilt Tank to bed at night and wake up and go in the morning. It's a staple piece I never want to take off and it's great for layering as well.

3. Current/Elliott Pull Up Leather Leggings

Leather is so hot right now that having a pair of leather (or even faux-leather) leggings is a fashion MUST.  They will take any outfit to the next level and trust me you'll feel it when you pull these babies on.

4. Jennifer Zeuner Mini Crossed Earrings

Simply stated, these mini-corss earrings are great to wear everyday.  They're tiny and shiny so they get a silver statement out there.  I'm a minimalist when it comes to jewelry and don't like taking earring on/of/on/off which is why I love these earrings, you can sleep in them without feeling them.

5. Shashi 2 Row Crystal Bracelet

Perfect for layering, this bracelet will add a bit of edge to the outfit.

6. Sam Edelman Zoe Bootie

Sam Edelman sure knows how to make a boot that will last.  Edgy, stylish and sleek, I love the booties because they have a heel that you won't fall over in.
