I’m constantly on the hunt for easy and cute nail art ideas. Keyword being easy. I honestly can’t stand having a solid-colored manicure because I get bored of it in less than a day and everyone else has the same thing. Nail art allows your personality to shine through in a different way than the obvious hair and style choices. Plus, everyone will be jealous of your pretty nails and will never believe you did them yourself! (more…)
I can’t think of another holiday (besides Halloween) where people go all out dressing up for the occasion. Whenever I hear people talking about St. Patrick’s Day, images of green, glitter, gold and beer enter my mind. I don’t personally partake in the festivities that surround this holiday, but one person in my family does, and that would be my sister.
She goes on a hunt to find the perfect outfit weeks before St. Patrick’s Day. Side-note: I find this funny because we don’t have a drop of Irish blood in our family. I’m not sure why it’s a holiday where people decide to dress up, but if it makes you happy then go for it! If you’re going all out dressing up in a green-colored, cute and girly outfit then you can’t forget to paint your nails accordingly. Nothing would ruin your outfit more (besides spilling beer all over yourself) if your nails were clashing with this festive day.
Get some nail inspiration from the pictures below and enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day! (more…)

I’m always looking for new ways to paint my nails since I get really bored having one solid color. I’ve tried the water marbling technique, which is super cool and looks awesome if you do it correctly but it’s kind of messy and time consuming.
After searching YouTube, I came across this short and simple tutorial by Pixie Polish on how to marble your nails using a needle (you can also use a safety pin or toothpick). Let me just say, I would love to hire the extremely talented girl behind this tutorial because I took a look at her other videos…oh my gosh. If you have the art skills, which unfortunately I don’t, I suggest checking out the rest of her tutorials for amazing, envy-worthy nails!
The cool thing about this technique is that you can use any color combination you can think of. I am definitely going to try this over the weekend. It would look really pretty with bright colors for summer. The possibilities are endless!
Would you try this easy, no-water marbling technique?

Last week I posted a few images of awesome Halloween-inspired nail art. With Halloween being just a week away, I searched YouTube for super easy nail tutorials so you can try these designs out for yourself. I found this great video by PerfectPolishTV that shows five extremely easy (and fast!) Halloween nail designs. I'm loving the candy corn design
I did my own version of "bloody nails" and used burgundy and gold. It may not look like blood but it's definitely fit for fall. This was my first time doing a drip-style design and it wasn't too hard. The girl in the video above uses a pencil to draw on her drips of polish and that seems much easier than how I did mine using a toothpick!
