Top 10 Looks from Last Night’s Met Gala

All the top names in fashion gathered together last night at the 2013 Met Gala. The theme this year was Punk: Chaos to Couture. Not my first choice but definitely interesting. I was looking forward to seeing everyone’s different perception of what punk is and how extreme some would go. Sarah Jessica Parker, for instance, wore a full-on mohawk headpiece while Kim Kardashian opted for a floral turtleneck dress complete with matching gloves and shoes.

I was expecting to see studs, leather, black and everything else considered punk. There was definitely all of those aspects and some celebrities seemed to nail the theme a bit better than others. On that note, here are my top ten picks for best Met Gala looks! (more…)

Reactions to Last Night’s Oscar Awards!

After months of anticipation, the Oscars finally aired last night, hosted by Seth MacFarlane. The show altogether was a bit, um, odd and drawn out. Some of Seth’s jokes were funny and some a little offensive. Obviously, he took jabs at Hollywood as any host would do.

This year the Oscars celebrated music in the movies we love. It was the tenth anniversary of the film Chicago and Catherine Zeta-Jones lip-synced (not confirmed, but obvious) her performance of “All That Jazz”. Jennifer Hudson got a standing ovation from the crowd of A-listers after her beautiful and heartfelt performance from Dreamgirls. (more…)

Amanda Seyfried, Jessica Chastain & More Looked Beautiful at the SAG Awards

Last night we were graced with yet another fashionable red carpet with the 2013 SAG Awards. Black, white and navy blue seemed to be a huge trend while some actors like Jane Krokowski and Nina Dobrev chose vibrant and playful colors.

Jessica Chastain certainly didn’t blend into this red carpet with her red Alexander McQueen satin gown. And as always, Jennifer Garner looked beautiful as she supported hubby Ben Affleck as his film Argo won Best Cast Motion Picture. (more…)

Claire Danes, Kerry Washington & More Set the Bar High

Last night marked the best Sunday TV lineup ever. I watched the Golden Globe Awards and Girls, but Shameless premiered with its new season along with a few other shows. I posted up on my couch all night in my pajamas switching between season 1 of Girls (and the new episode of course, OMG love!) and the Golden Globes red carpet.

In my opinion, the ladies set the bar high for themselves, kicking off this award show season with oodles of great fashion. Watching last night’s red carpet was making me so anxious to see how everyone will dress for the Oscars. Here are a few pictures of gorgeous women like Jennifer Garner, Isla Fisher and Adele. And the Oscar Goes To…

Well, no one as of yet. This morning Emma Stone and Seth MacFarlane announced the nominees for the 85th annual Academy Awards, which airs on February 24th.

Lincoln leads the pack with an outstanding 12 nominations! Life of Pi with 11, Les Misérables and Silver Linings Playbook each got 8 and Argo with 7. (more…)
