Jean is one, if not the, most classic fabrics of our time. Jean is versatile and comes in the form of pretty much everything: jackets, shorts, tops, and most popularly, pants. A majority of women have this staple in their closets at this very moment. An important thing to remember is that although jean is timeless, it can also become outdated. Maybe your jean jacket from the 80′s can still rocked with a maxi dress, but I’m not so sure about that jean purse you still have sitting in your closet. I’m here to show you the freshest new threads to update your spring wardrobe.

I have been loving SomethingNavy’s blog so much lately. Her effortless street style always hits the spot. The best part about her blog? She almost always uses a hot item from Singer22 and shows what you can pair it with and how to wear it. Her style reminds me of a modern day Carrie Bradshaw.

Basic tees and tanks are an essential for every girl’s wardrobe, however, sometimes it’s nice to have the comfort of a tee while staying stylish and trendy at the same time. There are a lot of basic styles being reinvented for a more stylish and edgy feel. Uneven hems a.k.a. Hi-Low Tops, are a huge trend today, they are soft and comfy but very fashion forward. Hooded tees are a great alternative to a hood in the upcoming warmer months. They give you the same comfort of a hoodie and not only are the light and airy, they look cuter for a spring or summer casual look. The exposed shoulder tees are a more modern twist on a basic t-shirt. I’m a huge fan of these because they are just as comfortable as any basic tee, but appear edgier and more fashion forward. Open back or cut-out tops are great for a sexier casual look or for an edgy grunge look. And finally, over-sized tees are great right now, with the right fabrics they can still appear feminine even if they are two or three sizes too big for your body. They are super cute cropped, with a Hi-low hem, or even worn as a dress. All of these tops are so versatile and can work well with pretty much any bottoms, try Citizens of Humanity flare jeans, Siwy skinny jeans or cut off shorts, or even dressed up with a Pleasure Doing Business skirt. YES! It IS possible! I got ready in 5 minutes once, and I still looked okay (without the makeup and such). I did not throw on some sweats or hoodie sweatshirt. NO! I made sure it was all about comfort, style, and versatility! Here are my top picks for a comfortable and effortless outfit. All you need is some deodorant, fragrance, and a hair tie! Ladies, it is okay to rush and “act” like your significant other… if it’s okay for him to wear the same shirt, I think we have the right as well (Sorry, I’ve been taking a feminism class and I am all about women’s rights right now! HA!)!
The newest Shape Magazine cover girl stepped out in sunny SoCal last week and I’m LOVING her ensemble. Pulling her outfit together with the Blu Moon Militant Jacket Vanessa knows what she likes – So I’ll have what she’s having! This adjustable jacket is so perfect for Spring, lightweight and versatile. Ms. Hudgens embodies a bohemian personal style and Blu Moon’s Spring collection has a ton of flowy, oversized pieces to fall for. Complete this look with a pair of Siwy cut-offs and a slouchy Plush hat, EASY!

Looks like you aren’t the only ones who are fans of these denim digs. Celebrities like January Jones, Ashley Greene, Kim Kardashian, Kate Moss, Rachel Bilson…(the list goes on) love these designers too!
We can all appreciate that one, favorite pair of jeans you just can’t live without. But, it’s always fun to explore new lines and always be on the cutting edge of latest trends. This is why I have compiled a nifty chart to find some new denim developments that we think you’ll want to take part in. Happy Shopping!
Nothing is more refreshing than seeing a celebrity dressed so simple, yet impeccably pulled together and fashion forward. In this case, the darling Whitney Port softens up a grunge look and Singer22 is here to help you achieve it in no time flat!

We saw new styles emerge and throw backs make come backs! With the year coming to a close, Singer22 is taking a look back at the 10 hottest trends that we saw 2010…
1. Fur Coats and Vests
Nothing says “Old Hollywood Glam” like a fur coat. We saw stars like Kortney Kardashian dolled up in the Funktional Predator Coat in Animal to stay warm and stylish in the cooler months. Taking a note from the 70’s, fur vests popped up again! Singer22 loves the ELS Raccoon Fur Vest in Brown that we saw ladies wearing year round.
2. Leather Jackets
One of the biggest trends of the year was leather. Stylists gave this rocker fabric a feminine twist in their collections and shoppers ate it up! The Smythe Moto Leather Jacket is an absolute must have. This is a style that will last and last and can be worn from 2010 to 3010!
Lace showed up on almost every red carpet this season. Whether it was slight, chic detail on a dress, lace on shoes or a complete lace ensemble, it was there. Like its leather counterpart, when worn correctly, lace is timeless.
Plaid was worn big time this year. Both men and women were dressing up in this dressed down fabric and making it look oh, so good! The Rails Kendra Original Plaid Button Down, Stephanie Pratt wears it in Red/White, is a far cry from your father’s plaid shirts but is still incredibly comfortable. I’m sure we’ll see this trend rolling over into 2011.
Move over Skinny Jeans, 2010 brought a new jean to town! Jeggings literally took over the legs of stars and everyday shoppers alike. One of our favorite designers of 2010, Michelle Siwy, has her amazing Siwy Hannah Jegging Jean in Coquette that can be paired with boots, booties, flats or heels to provide a perfectly polished look to any outfit.
6. Leather Leggings
Another leather accessory that was huge in 2010 was leather leggings. Not for the faint of heart, these super sexy leggings added a huge dose of glam to outfits traditionally paired with black, cotton leggings. Stars everywhere were seen donning the Current/Elliot Pull Up Leather Legging to show off their sexy side.
7. Distressed Tees
Distressed denim wasn’t seen as much in 2010. Distressed tees on the other hand, made their mark. At first we questioned buying shirts with rips and holes in them but once we found out how comfortable they were, we understood. Stars like Lauren Conrad and Gwyneth Paltrow showed their love for LA in The Chaser LA City of Angels Tee, 2010’s distressed tee of the year!
8. Boots and Booties
Many trends come and go but a hot pair of boots is forever! 2010 saw knee high boots, like the House of Harlow 1960 Lainey Suede Calf Boot, making their sexy mark as well as flat, mid-calf height boots for daily wear. Booties were also huge this year in their own adorable way. Booties like the Rosegold Genie Lace Up mixed tough and chic for an accessory that was worn day and night in 2010.
9. Boho Jewelry
Who doesn’t love a little bling? 2010 introduced us to so many amazing jewelry designers. Even though Nicole Richie launched House of Harlow 1960 in 2008 her boho jewelry line was seen everywhere in 2010. From bangles to rings and necklaces to cuffs, House of Harlow 1960 provides women with hippie chic pieces that transfer well from season to season.
10. Mini Dresses
2010 was the year of the legs! Starlets showed of their mile high gams in itty-bitty dresses all year long. Even when the temps started to drop the legs kept making their cameo. Tunic dresses like the Parker Stripe Bead Tunic were seen in summer for their beach friendly cut and in winter for all the sparkle and shine a girl needs.
We’ve seen some truly great trends from 2010! Singer22 is already getting in resort wear for 2011 and if it’s any sign of things to come, we’re in for another very fashionable year!
Thanks to Nicole B. for the graphics!
One of Young Hollywood’s Golden couple split after 5 years (which is 10,000 in Hollywood years)! Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron graced our television sets in 2006 when High School Musical burst into the scene on the Disney Channel. Did you know there relationship began when they were filming? But, they kept it so low-key, the media did not know if the rumors were true or false! Throughout the years, Vanessa and Zac had nothing but kind words and real love for one another. According to Vanessa, the two had an instant connection, and Zac felt that his relationship with Vanessa was real.
We cannot help but show our love and support for both of them! So, in a positive note, Singer22.com looks back on the former Disney couple’s fashionable time together!
