Always Travel in Style

I took a trip back to the South for Mother’s Day weekend to surprise my mom. She’s impossible to shop for, so being the narcissist I am, I thought I was the best present to show up on her doorstep. No one knew I was visiting, so when I showed up with a bouquet of flowers (above) and walked through the front door at dinnertime everyone was thrilled. I was relieved that she was so happy to see me because I figured I would either be welcomed with excitement or scolded for being so good at lying for a month about the planned trip and sneaking down the East Coast. Must-Have Items for When the Sun Starts Shining

We’ve gone through some roller coaster-style weather here in New York this past year. Rain storms, tons of snow, Hurricane Sandy and too many gray days left me begging for spring time. Our first couple weeks of spring wasn’t all that great honestly. It was kinda grey and chilly, but now the sun is shining and the flowers are starting to bloom lining the sidewalks with vibrant colors.

Now that warm spring weather is in full effect, I find the sleeves on my tops are slowly inching up towards my shoulders. And although I love wearing boots, I love when it comes time to ditch them for half the year and switch to flats and sandals. When I think of spring my mind goes straight to light-wash denim, slouchy tops and lightweight sweaters. On that note, here are a few of my must-have items that no wardrobe should be without! Resort For most of us on the East Coast, the temperatures have been dropping and the air is crisp and cold. Unlike many people, the cold temperatures don’t necessarily bother us too much, but lately we’ve been itching to have the sand in our toes and the sun on our backs.

Peace, Love…and Kardashians

Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian all have one thing in common (besides their mega-empire), which is their love for Peace Love World. Let's be honest, how can anyone not love this brand? Every piece of clothing promotes some sort of happiness, whether it be to love yourself or just being happy. No matter what, I always seem to smile when I look at these comfy sweatshirts.

Khloe has been pictured multiple times wearing a different variety of the brand's clothing from the Happy Love 2 Love Hoodie to the Love Sweatpant and Love Hoodie. My personal favorite is Kourtney's I Am Happy Oversized Comfy Raglan because it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Plus, I feel like when other people read these sweatshirts and sweatpants, it spreads the cheer and everyone will be happy!

Cozy Up in Cashmere!

We've been hit with some pretty intense weather in the past two weeks here on the East Coast. Hurricane Sandy dropped in with devastating, harsh winds and rain. Then we were welcomed with bone-chilling temperatures and a blizzard a week later. I can't believe it's only November with this kind of weather but, luckily, we just got in an enormous amount of shipment including these amazing and soft cashmere sweaters by 360 Sweater.

  1. Ainsley Colorblock Cardigan: A boxy fit with a buttoned placket and V-neck.
  2. Aster Sweater: Round neckline with ribbed trim and a high low hemline.
  3. Bree Reverse Seam Sweater: Round neckline with reversed seam at the center and sleeves.

Swooning Over Sweaters

I have a serious obsession with sweaters. I mean, honestly, you can never have enough. Sweaters are so comfortable and cozy, which makes them perfect for lazy/rainy days…and every other day. There are so many different kinds of sweaters from their fabric to stitching to pattern/color. If I could live in a chunky, oversized, warm  sweater for the rest of my life, I totally would. We carry so many stylish sweaters here at SINGER22 and I pretty much want every single one of them but I narrowed it down to a bunch I'd love to move into my closet.

  1. Generation Love Judi Zig Zag Long Sleeve Top – Its metallic hue is a shade of blue that mixes great with the black.
  2. Rag & Bone/JEAN Mesh Raglan in forest – Great for every day wear and it's super comfy.
  3. Minnie Rose Pow Wow Sweater in cobalt – Comes in tons of pretty colors and it's so soft. I'm also obsessed with the slouchy and oversized silhouette!

Free People

The Free People collection is out of this world. Their concert tees are the softest things ever that include the unique long back but short front. The style looks awesome with the black Splendid leggings. The beige and charcoal thermal were my favorite looks with the Citizen bell bottoms. I love the casual laid back look – and Free People is made for that. The long aztec capes were super cozy and also looked great with a skinny jean. JBrand or Siwy are my favorite. I wouldn’t wear it with a flare considering the length it hits. But my most favorite of the collection, were the two maxi dresses that were so different and so special, all while being super comfortable. I loved every little thing about them. The length, the print, the tight fit, the slits. One of the dresses is your typical to the floor maxi dress (which is still great), but they made a to the floor maxi dress cardigan that has buttons going all the way down, but still includes the sexy slit. I couldn’t decide which to purchase first – but it’s a must have.
