Hey Mom, Treat Yourself for Mother’s Day!

One of the toughest jobs in the world is to be a mother. It’s nice to have one day a year that’s guaranteed to appreciate all the hard work and effort mom’s everywhere have to deal with on a daily basis. It would be nice if there were two, three…or four days dedicated to it! But we’re just saying.

Obviously since it’s Mother’s Day you will receive gifts from your children saying how much they love you and that you are the best mom in the whole world. And while you may cherish and look forward to opening these precious gifts that may possibly get stowed away somewhere, eaten (you can’t resist those chocolates) or die (I’m talking about flowers!), you should treat yourself. Rachel’s Radar: Spring Cleaning!

Luckily, spring is almost upon us! Spring cleaning is my favorite thing to do when the weather starts to warm up. It feels great to empty out my closet and organize myself, which makes me feel lighter all around. Plus, cleaning out my closet means more room for new clothes, and who doesn’t want that?!

One of my go-to spring essentials is always a fresh white V-neck tee by Monrow. It’s easy for whites to turn yellow from season to season and nothing feels dirtier to me than a slightly yellow tee that’s meant to be white. Make sure to stock your closets with plenty of white tees that you can easily grab in a hurry to match any outfit. (more…)

Believe it or not, Thanksgiving is just a few days away! It's crazy how fast the time is going but I cannot be more excited for Thanksgiving. Besides my birthday (yes, I count that as a holiday) and Christmas, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because I'm a huge foodie and there's obviously tons of food. The one dilemma I face is whether or not to get dressed up or stay comfy. My personal choice is to be comfortable because I like to just hang around all day and eat myself into a food coma. Swooning Over Sweaters

I have a serious obsession with sweaters. I mean, honestly, you can never have enough. Sweaters are so comfortable and cozy, which makes them perfect for lazy/rainy days…and every other day. There are so many different kinds of sweaters from their fabric to stitching to pattern/color. If I could live in a chunky, oversized, warm sweater for the rest of my life, I totally would. We carry so many stylish sweaters here at SINGER22 and I pretty much want every single one of them but I narrowed it down to a bunch I'd love to move into my closet.

Learn How To Create a Perfect Smokey Eye

One reason I envy every female celebrity is because they get to wake up to the talented hands of professional makeup artists. I, on the other hand, don’t have that wonderful luxury and, gosh, I wish I did. It’s really crazy how much a person can do with makeup and, more specifically, eyeshadow. You can use certain colors to make your eyes pop or glue on those crazy lashes, which I happen to be slightly scared of. I guess you can relate your eyelids to being like a blank canvas and you can create beautiful masterpiece! Ok that might have been a bit too dramatic but here’s a video from the talented Ashley on how to create a fab smokey eye!

Now for the outfit. Smokey eyes automatically make me think edgy and dark. Here are some great leather pieces that will complement your smokey eye with a bit of edge. (more…)
