Catch This Now: Fall 2012 Burkman Bros
Unfortunately for the ladies, we will soon be covering up our tanned abs and turning in the board shorts for jeans and button-downs. On the plus side, Burkman Bros came out with their Fall 2012 collection. Iceland was their source of inspiration, as they stopped at the remote island to stall their return to New York for a tad bit longer. The layered, laid back confidence of this collection comes directly from the Icelanders. If these flannels, earth tones and Nordic-inspired patterns don’t get you to put your clothes on, then I don’t know what will.
Pair flannel button-down shirts with denim brands like J Brand, Citizens of Humanity or 7 For All Mankind. Also, with Fall quickly approaching (can anyone make the time slow down, by the way?) try throwing on a lightweight Canada Goose Lodge Vest. Its perfect for in between weather.

Gant by Michael Bastian hits the surf and takes inspiration from ’70s kitsch—think the original Hawaii Five-0 or the Brady Bunch visits Hawaii. Call it a mash-up between East Coast ivy covered campuses and chilled-down island tropics. Who cares we can’t wait to get our hands on those red camo cargo shorts and the retro chest stripe windbreaker.

BURKMAN BROS – SPRING-SUMMER 2012
We coined the term WEAR WORLDWIDE here as Doug & Ben are always inspired by their travels. This season is no different and the locale this time is the island of Kaua’i. We say ALOHA and the bros have brought us a huge variety of tanks in colors and stripes, all cut to show off the results of your tropical rock climbing or simply hours in the gym. Pair those tanks with original jacquard, striped and printed shorts and arm yourself with a handful of bracelets and you’re ready for the tropics, the Hudson river, the Hamptons or the Santa Monica pier.
