Haute Hippie

Haute Hippie was launched in 2008 by Founder and Creative Director Trish Wescoat Pound. Her ultimate goal was to build a fashion house that embodied the mind, lifestyle and soul of a world traveler. Wescoat Pound says, “The Haute Hippie women is eclectic, chic and well-traveled.” Haute Hippie will take you from inner to outer, day to night and metropolis to sanctuary by emphasizing their style of garments including dresses, tops, jackets, ourterwear and accessories.

Haute Hippie started with just five employees and operated out of Trish’s one-bedroom New York City apartment. She wanted to create a fashion brand and clothing line that was not only edgy but also practical and sophisticated. Every piece is sought to be versatile and instantaneously wearable. Haute Hippie has grown immensely in the last four years having acquired over 50 employees and moved into an office building in Manhattan’s Garment District. As a result, Haute Hippie has released a second brand, Haute Hoodie that is based on chic and classic comfort.

While the brand may have started off small, their retail presence has quickly grown and continues to expand. Haute Hippie owns three boutiques in New York – SoHo, Madison Avenue and East Hampton. Along with these boutiques, customers can buy Haute Hippie in over 300 stores across the United States.

Celebrities who are fans of this ever-growing brand include Olivia Palermo, Selena Gomez, Beyonce, Lauren Conrad, Leann Rimes, Blake Lively and many more. Haute Hippie can be considered a fashion destination for basic, layering items and loungewear. With contemporary prices, Haute Hippie allows customers to purchase everyday looks at attainable prices.

Trish Wescoat Pound creates a non-corporate work environment for employees as well. You can find dogs sleeping at their feet and country music playing in the office. And although Haute Hippie has developed into a well-known fashion line, attention to detail and high standards will always be in practice.
