Designer Bio: ingwa; melero
Nike Ingwa Clausing and Tina Hernaiz Melero, friends from a small town in Germany and inspired by their mothers' handcrafting books from the '70s, began making their own clothes at an early age. The pair was swept up in the New York fashion scene, leading them to move to N.Y.C. permanently in 2001. Here, they founded ingwa; melero. Their line incorporates traditional handcrafting techniques with fitted feminine silhouettes and continues to capture the attention of the fashion-minded nationwide.
