The French seem to have a fusion of what is chic and cool and the ability to wear it in an absolutely casual way. The French brothers Arik and Laurent Britton created the designer Iro line with a street smart look and the chic of Paris. The word Iro, in Japanese, translates to ‘color’; but the collection is very subdued in shades of black, grey and white. The Iro jackets have a feminine touch but the design is all rock ‘n roll. This makes total sense due to the brothers' passion for the music. The inspiration for Iro outerwear and jackets actually came from their female circle of friends. These are women that are assertive and expressed their own sense of style. From that vision they launched Iro with a distinctive 70’s and 80’s vintage feel. The goal was to have a collection that was at home in New York, Tokyo or Paris. Iro denim shorts was an addition that delights the summer crowd.
