NY based and LA produced, McGuire Denim has fans in celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Zoe Saldana, Alexa Chung, Christina Aguilera, and Kourtney Kardashian. Clearly designer, Marianne McDonald is doing something right. She channels her memories of and deep fondness for denim into her designs which recall this favorite American material as one branch of the country's traditional workwear. McDonald is "inspired by [denim's] ability to act like a modern canvas or a travel log of sorts" and so her reinvented cuts evenly combine modern style with a common desire for functionality. Her "modern jeans with a vintage aesthetic" are a culmination of having worked at various denim-centered jobs including Joe's, Robert Rodriguez, and Gap.
As if her resume isn't impressive enough - Marianne not only manufactures her line in the United States but she ensures that her brand gives back by planting a tree for every one of her pieces sold, managed with the collaboration of the Green Belt Movement.
