Nicole Richie's impeccable style has made her a fashion icon. Â Always dressed in classic attire, with hints of trend, she pulls off every outfit effortlessly. Â I think the key to Nicole's wardrobe is that she sticks to the basics. Â She seems to always have on a pair of black skinnies, and rotates her tops and accessories to mix it up. Â Her look is easy to get, especially since almost everything she wears is from her Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 lines. Â With a few black basics and Nicole's accessories, you'll be rocking her style in no time.

I am all for wearing clothes that FLATTER your body! These clothes that flatter your body, exposes the right curves and it looks good that you do not have to hide yourself or feel self-conscious. Singer22 is giving you the 101 on how to dress in clothes that FLATTER your body and I am sure your mama (or grandma) will approve!
Wear a thick or thin belt (I will have a blog post on dresses + belts soon!) at your midriff over your dress, jacket, or blouse. Go ahead.. pick a belt any belt: Streets Ahead Gold Hardware Belt, Halston Heritage Double Sash Belt, & Streets Ahead Skinny Studded Belt
ACCENTUATE YOUR CHEST
I would go for something more subtle than obvious. Plus, it is a bit unprofessional to shove your chest at someone's face especially on purpose… To accentuate your chest, go for a v-neckline and unbuttoned shirts. Find tops that show off your collarbone: Daftbird Tank Top, Daftbird Long Sleeve V Neck Tee, & Daftbird Thin V Neck Tee
HIGHLIGHT YOUR BUTT
Get a J. Lo/Kim Kardashian booty by following one simple fashion rule: wear a crop jacket! Now you have the perfect staple to showcase your curves: Veda Queen Jacket & muubaa Freya Boyfriend Jacket
SHOW OFF YOUR ARMS
You have the right to show off your hard work! Put those arms to work by wearing light colors on top and dark colors below. Also try an elaborate neckline or elaborate necklace: Luv AJ Twinkle Wrap Necklace, Alice + Olivia Briony Flower Top with Lace Cami & Haute Hippie Gypsy Print Drape Front Halter
NOW, don't go showing it off and baring it all. It's all about balance. If you have a crop tee, select denim jeans. If you are wearing shorts, go for a longer/modest top. You don't want to give the wrong message out, do ya?
I am so excited that Singer22 is featuring pieces for the always fabulous line, Free People. The line covers every part of the fashion spectrum so there is sure to be an item to please your shopping pallet! Free People has attracted not only our attention but the attention of stars like Amanda Seyfried and Ashley Tisdale, seen above in the Free People Love Me Do Cardigan. One of my favorite grab and go pieces from the line is the Free People Striped Harley Hi-Low Tee. Paired with skinny jeans or shorts this piece is essential for Summer.
Basic tees and tanks are an essential for every girl's wardrobe, however, sometimes it's nice to have the comfort of a tee while staying stylish and trendy at the same time. There are a lot of basic styles being reinvented for a more stylish and edgy feel. Uneven hems a.k.a. Hi-Low Tops, are a huge trend today, they are soft and comfy but very fashion forward. Hooded tees are a great alternative to a hood in the upcoming warmer months. They give you the same comfort of a hoodie and not only are the light and airy, they look cuter for a spring or summer casual look. The exposed shoulder tees are a more modern twist on a basic t-shirt. I'm a huge fan of these because they are just as comfortable as any basic tee, but appear edgier and more fashion forward. Open back or cut-out tops are great for a sexier casual look or for an edgy grunge look. And finally, over-sized tees are great right now, with the right fabrics they can still appear feminine even if they are two or three sizes too big for your body. They are super cute cropped, with a Hi-low hem, or even worn as a dress. All of these tops are so versatile and can work well with pretty much any bottoms, try Citizens of Humanity flare jeans, Siwy skinny jeans or cut off shorts, or even dressed up with a Pleasure Doing Business skirt. I had a fashion flashback today when the team over at “Equipment” pointed out that the python blouse we have on the site is very “Almost Famous.” It inspired me to do an entire post on one of the best movies of all time, and one of the best fashion era's too. The 1970's were all about free spirit, ease and effortlessness. Flowy tops, wide leg jeans and maxi dresses were a must have staple for every hipsters closet. The key to pulling off 70's style is to own the look & don't let the clothes wear you. Mix and match fringe with fur, floral with pops of color and don't forget to always have a pair of cut off jean shorts handy. “Almost Famous” style is beyond perfect for any music festivals that you have to go to, or lazy days at the beach.

The 70's trend is being seen everywhere this season & flowy silhouettes are one of the most prevalent within this trend. This light and airy style is so versatile, it can be worn by anyone whether you're looking for a romantic look, work attire, casual outfits, or a night time look. The blouses can be worn with a pencil skirt for a more classy style, try Twenty8twelve Thompson Skirt by s. Miller. A light, flowy dress can be worn for either day or night with the correct accessories, try Modern Vintage wedges for daytime and Jeffrey Campbell heels for an edgier night out look.
