Singer22 Addict

5:10 PM

The amount of pieces photographed for Pencey and Thayer today is unheard of. It's so amazing because I get the opportunity of trying everything on and sort of seeing how it fits. Even though I am madly in love with all the new items – I can't stop thinking about the brand new StyleStalker dress I bought today. I have been dreaming about it since the day we shot the look book and finally, I am leaving here today with it tucked away into my Singer22 shopping bag. I'd say I've racked up about 10 of those now. MUST LEARN SELF CONTROL! Anyway the new Thayer blouses sort of remind me of the Equipments, but the prints are very different then the ordinary leopard and polka dot you normally see. They looked super cute with literally anything I paired them with. I also loved the Pencey dresses. My favorite was the white satin long one with the dream catcher on the back. I also tried on a ton of brand new skinny jeggings – as soon as I thought they couldn't possibly make any other version of a jegging I was proven wrong. I also bought the Robin colored sleeveless Equipment shirt today. I literally almost fought a woman in the store for the Small. She won, so I left with a medium – turns out, the medium suits me better. My number one thing I must discuss today are all the new shoes. I can't even begin. Senso is my long lost love. The leopard booties, the black booties, the copy of the Acne Admire booties, and the beige flats with the fringe. When I opened the silver shoe boxes, I felt things I've never felt before. It made the day of shooting that much better. I have a problem don't I? I bet you'll all feel the same when you see them. We've been brainstorming new ideas for the website and we've come up with the idea for StreetStyle in the lookbook section. I can't wait to showcase all my looks out and about in the city. I will also do my own little take on the singer22 lookbooks. For example, this weekend I will do my own unique version of Lighten Up for Spring.

Can't wait to share!

So Many Polos, So Little Time…

4:57 PM

The polo shirt is one fashion trend that men wear and they believe is a dressy kind of apparel. Sure, why not? But isn't it about the way you wear it? You can make it look trendy by pairing it with a leather jacket or cool blue jeans! Skip the pinstripe pants… you're not going to a golf course (but, if you are, there are more options than pinstripe pants… just saying).

Red is climbing the charts when it comes to being seen and making your wardrobe pop. It can be as simple as an accessory, like a pretty bracelet (alone or intermixed with your other jewels), or a jacket like Nicole Richie so fabulously displays. You can also make it your statement piece, like a top of dress to add some va-va-voom! Make red your go-to color choice this season!

Styling My Man for Spring/Summer Basics

9:04 PM

As the fiancé and I near our wedding month, it's high time to start some spring cleaning and get him ready for the festivities to come.  He's the type of manly man who only shops a few times a year, so when we shop for him it's usually all about getting the basics that will last year round.  He's very simple and doesn't like to be too trendy, or wear a lot of print, so below you'll find what we've picked out together as we revamp his spring/summer wardrobe.

Starting from the ground up, it's always good to invest in key bottoms such as AG Adriano Goldschmied Khaki Pant, which are great for nicer events (err, wedding showers).   I love the idea of pairing these khaki's with the easy to layer Levi's Made & Crafted Shirt.  To give the ensemble more dimension, we'll pull over this super comfy Vince Cashmere Crewneck Sweater that I cannot wait to snuggle up against.  He could also pull this sweater over the Vince Long Sleeve Shirt, and the light color will look amazing in the warmer months.

As another bottom basic, the fiancé picked out these 7 for All Mankind jeans.  He loves wearing black jeans and I love it too because you can pair anything with them, whether it be one of the button up shirts above, or a simple LnA tee. LnA makes amazingly soft cotton tee's.  And even though I have my own LnA tee's (see Women's LnA), I still find myself stealing the fiancé's.  For those chilly summer nights, it's always great to have an Ever Fleece Hoodie handy.  We love these hoodies because they're simple, basic and have an amazing fit like they were designed specifically for you.

Lastly, since we'll be jet setting for our honeymoon and working on our tan before the big day, a good pair of Ever Charlies Point Boardshort's are a must have for his new spring do.

Hope this helps you and yours truly shop 'till you drop (and for men that usualy means about 10 minutes worth).  Cheers to hotter arm candy!
