The Pantone Color of 2014 is Radiant Orchid. Following in the footsteps of 2013’s Emerald, Radiant Orchid “…reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark the imagination. An invitation to innovation, Radiant Orchid encourages expanded creativity and originality, which is increasingly valued in today’s society,” said Leatrice Eisemen, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute.
The magical and tropical shade Radiant Orchid will be seen on everything from lipsticks and nail polishes to cardigans to coffee makers within the upcoming year. The color suggests innovation and creativity so it will most definitely effect people not only in the fashion and beauty industries, but technology as well. Eisemen explains, “It’s an invitation to innovation. The purple family offers (an) opportunity to do creative things.”
