This morning as I was driving into work this song by Baz Luhrmann came on the radio. I haven’t heard it since high school and it instantly brought a smile to my tired face.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Everybody’s Free To Wear Sunscreen, here’s a little background: In 1997, columnist Mary Schmich wrote an essay for the Chicago Tribune giving much-needed life advice to youths. The advice from this famous essay serve as the lyrics to Luhrmann’s song.
Take an extra five minutes out of your day to listen to this song. It’s some of the best life advice I’ve ever heard. Of course, never take anything for granted. I hope this gets you through the rest of your workweek.
Happy Hump Day, everyone!
