Luckily, spring is almost upon us! Spring cleaning is my favorite thing to do when the weather starts to warm up. It feels great to empty out my closet and organize myself, which makes me feel lighter all around. Plus, cleaning out my closet means more room for new clothes, and who doesn’t want that?!
One of my go-to spring essentials is always a fresh white V-neck tee by Monrow. It’s easy for whites to turn yellow from season to season and nothing feels dirtier to me than a slightly yellow tee that’s meant to be white. Make sure to stock your closets with plenty of white tees that you can easily grab in a hurry to match any outfit.
Living in NYC requires a lot of walking, so it’s nice when spring rolls around and it’s not necessary to wear layers upon layers to stay as warm as possible. Walking the bustling streets of New York allows me to discover new bars and restaurants. One of my long time favorite restaurants is located on Elizabeth St. called PUBLIC. They were just awarded one Michelin Star in 2012 (that’s a huge honor in the food world), which means you must go try it! Another great thing about PUBLIC is the bar adjacent to it, The Daily, that serves cocktails inspired by “every-man” of the late 1800s.
I like to keep my outfits playful and simple for spring. I really enjoy wearing vibrant Parker pants because they add a pop of color to any outfit. Red can be a bit intimidating for some people, so opt for a neutral Rory Beca jumpsuit. Another must-have item for me is a great leather jacket. Every girl needs to have one in her wardrobe! There are tons of different great styles from brands like Vince or IRO, so you just have to find the one that you like best.
