I may not have a particularly developed sweet tooth but I have to say that one of the most beautiful treats I've seen are Jordan almonds – sugar coated nuts that come in an Easter approved assortment of soft pastels.
Pastels are a common trend in Spring collections and this season will be no different. Modern shapes and structured fabrics work surprisingly well in these unripened hues but, even when the fit is more relaxed, the pieces don't have to be saccharine. The Spring 2014 runways were full of robin's egg blues, bleached yellows, delicate pinks, and minty fresh greens that surprisingly never ended up looking like grown up baby clothing.
Athletic and menswear themes permeated the endless selections of warm weather garments helping to balance out the typically feminine palette. Additionally, the impact of pastel fashion can be controlled by the wearer so that if one wakes up feeling the need to project a girlish flirty vibe then Chiara Ferragni's approach might be preferable. Pink, white, and blue sing harmoniously with generous embellishments, feminine shapes, and modern textiles.
If you tend towards a more pared down look, though, then let Angelica Ardasheva (another excellent foreign fashion blogger) influence your style. Light blue jeans and a mint green sweater are anchored by navy and tan neutrals for an excellent transitional ensemble.
And obviously your options don't end there. Visit SINGER22.com for some of our own pastel treats to update your spring wardrobe! Whether it's a leather jacket in the softest rose, bi-color light blue skinny jeans with a tuxedo twist, or a three tier necklace with faded jade charms, you'll find something to satisfy your craving!
