Kelly Osbourne rocked her signature lavender mohawk which paired perfectly with her leopard printed Elisabetta Franchi dress featuring a demure half sleeve bodice. Lupita Nyong'o wowed in a breathtaking Elie Saab gown covered in a spliced painterly floral print with a banded waist and cornrowed updo. In her typically off-beat way, Rashida Jones donned an Emanuel Ungaro black and white dress with turquoise trim that while reading, perhaps, a little too daytime was still a pleasant surprise. Her bright red lip was a fresh finishing touch.
Felicity Jones exemplified modern femininity in her blush tone Balenciaga dress sporting one of the night's most popular details; a thick criss-cross bodice. Pearl and diamond drop earrings added just the right amount of glitz. Orange Is The New Black star, Kimiko Glenn floored us in her taupe Gemy Maalouf strapless gown made complete with a cascading ruffle of tulle. Her modern “lob”, smoky eyes, and on-trend accessories put her near the top of the list.
Jennifer Aniston was mesmerizing in a Vintage John Galliano metallic lace gown which she furnished with an exotic body-chain, her signature blow out, and fresh, beachy makeup. Sarah Hyland donned a Vera Wang dress with a gem encrusted bodice for a look that was as fun and youthful as it was fashion forward. Her deeply side parted bun nicely complimented her subtly smoked eye and glittering earrings. Emmy Rossum enjoyed the perks of Armani Privé's undeniably bewitching aesthetic in this sparkling, strapless creation which produced a contemporary glamor becoming of the Shameless actress.
 BLACK AND WHITE DELIGHTS
Reese Witherspoon's bright white Giorgio Armani one shoulder column dress made the petite actress appear statuesque. The tonal white sequin detailing at the neck and cap sleeve added texture while her smoky brown eye makeup and deep berry lips provided a pleasant contrast. Paula Patton made a bold statement in a completely embellished Aiisha Ramadan gown furnished with hints of gold at the bust. Her unpredictable sea foam green earrings brought even more drama to one of the bigger sartorial surprises of the evening. She may be a teenager but Ariel Winter looked every part the bodacious babe in her ZAC Zac Posen dress. While perhaps a teeny bit too tight, the dress had an overall flattering effect on the young actress whose dark waves, coral earrings, and black clutch were the only flourishes she required.
Jumpsuit aficionado, Julia Roberts opted for a black version by Givenchy replete with tuxedo inspired detailing. Her enviable auburn waves and Art-Deco themed jewels seemed right up her alley but left us wanting a little more from her in the way of novelty. Emma Stone nailed it in her Christian Dior Couture menswear jacket and sheer skirt dress which she accessorized to a T with ankle strap heels, of-the-moment diamond ear cuffs, and a fire engine red lip. Julia Louis-Dreyfus modeled her fit figure in a curve hugging Monique Lhuillier design with a lacy bodice while soft, bouncy curls and lovely makeup finished her look.
BRIGHTS & JEWEL TONES
Uzo Aduba rocked the red carpet in a delightful yellow Angel Sanchez gown. The stark contrast between her dark skin and the sunny hue brought this amazing eyelet piece to life. Julianne Moore was magnificent in emerald green Givenchy Couture covered in a dancing beaded fringe for a shimmering effect that left us waiting with bated breath for her turn at the Oscars. Claire Danes attempted to make this mossy green Marc Jacobs halter gown sing but the slightly odd fit at the front turns out to be more of a distraction than an innovation. Her hair was nicely coiffed, though, and the dress certainly had some intriguing details like the embroidery at the sides. Had her makeup not been so harsh maybe this would have been more successful because we do sense a good idea or two in there.
Julianna Margulies was nearly excellent in this punchy blue dress from the whimsical Italian designer, Giambattista Valli. The skirt and bodice were a tad wrinkled but the rich pigment of the piece and her well curated accessories were a beautiful combination. If only those limp tendrils had been pinned back… Naomi Watts looked splendid in Balenciaga with a timeless off-the-shoulder neckline and form fitting silhouette. Side swept waves, a few baubles, and minaudière completed her styling. Amy Poehler found her sexy in this fantastic Jenny Packham dress which pronounced a return to form after her Golden Globes mishap. Beaded from top to bottom for a midnight sky effect and accented with a few diamond sparklers, the whole look made the comedienne look as sharp and beautiful as ever.
Camila Alves hung up her drab Golden Globes dress and instead made all the right moves in this deep purple Donna Karan Atelier dress with a sculpted bustier top. The dramatic side sash and her parted honey blond waves created an elegant, languid effect perfect for a trip down the red carpet. Keira Knightley dressed her growing baby bump in a tiered, lacy Erdem design with a few sheer panels and dainty ties at the shoulders. Beachy waves, a stylish ear cuff, and entrancing smoky eyes completed her gorgeous look.
