Summer has officially arrived in New York City. Everyone is breaking out their shorts, breezy fabrics and flirty dresses. This summer is the summer of prints and brights. Loud, fun, obnoxious, novelty prints and bold, saturated colors. Prints of all kinds including florals, animal, skulls, paisley, preppy, you name it. I myself love bold abstract and tribal statement prints. It’s a great way to stand out in NYC.
New Yorkers are all in an unspoken competition to see who can stand out the most and make a statement. Life here is about celebrating individuality and having others notice and acknowledge it. But in a place where the competition and ambition are high, no one will notice you if you don’t give them a reason to.  Incorporating a colorful print into your outfit is a simple eye catching way to spark interest.  Check out the bright summer prints on these street stylers in Little Italy. (more…)
I LOVE vintage everything. The idea of a vintage piece that has stood the test of time and lived to tell a story about it fascinates me. The garments and accessories from past decades reflect the mood of the people, the advancement in technology, political drama and social standards. Through time loosened whale bone corsets, shorter hemlines, burned bras, acid wash jeans, and men with lipstick have become socially acceptable, though not without controversy and drama.
Why the constant push for change? Because fashion loves drama, drama is entertainment, and entertainment is money. After all, it's money that makes the world go ‘round. And although past trends may resurface there is always a new modern twist. Fashion will continue to push social boundaries so long as people can be offended and technology advances. (more…)
When I opened my Twitter app this morning, I read a tweet from Carrie Bradshaw (yes, I follow Carrie Bradshaw) and it couldn't have been more appropriate: "If Friday was a cocktail, it would be a Cosmopolitan."
In complete agreement with Ms. Bradshaw, we searched the Internet for a fabulous Cosmo recipe and came across Emeril's NYC Cosmopolitan. Grab your girls and get dolled up because it's Friday, ladies! Don't know what to wear? Our stylist, Casey, picked out a flirty and sexy outfit for a fun night out! Check it out below. (more…)
Maria Menounos looked absolutely beautiful at a recent event in this Ani Lee Gina Dress, which is currently available for preorder and ships to customers around Dec 28th. I think this dress fits her perfectly and I love the pleated skirt. It has just the right amount of girliness and is definitely age appropriate. I really can't get over how radiant Maria looks. Her hair is perfectly tousled and simple and her makeup looks flawless.

I've recently become a huge fan of black nail polish and I'm all about a party nail since I love glitter. This is my manicure that inspired these flirty and fun outfits.
This Dress The Population Ginger Dress in Multi Sequin looks exactly like my manicure, except opposite with it's mostly rainbow sequins and "party nail" of black. I get reminded of New Year's Eve and a good time whenever I see this fun dress. Doesn't it make you just want to go out and have a good time? (more…)
Every girl needs that go-to Little Black Dress (LBD). It's the one piece of clothing in your closet that you know will look good on you no matter what. Your LBD should make you feel confident and beautiful. If you're in the market for a new LBD or want to add another to your collection, take a look at a few of these dresses!
I am personally head over heels for this Elizabeth and James Alexa Dress because it has a classic and clean silhouette. I'm obsessed with the layered ribbon detailing, which most definitely creates a slimmer look. This Bec & Bridge Cuff Dress is a bit more edgy with its plunging neckline and cuff detail. You'll capture the attention of everyone in the room! The lovers + friends Obsessed Dress has a textured material with a scoop neck and back. This LBD is for the girly girl because of its lace-like fabric and bodycon silhouette. (more…)
Does this dress look familiar? It might be because it's the second time we're featured in a magazine for the same dress! Celebs love this versatile lace dress by For Love & Lemons.
You can style this dress more edgy with the black version or more flirty and girly with the white. It all depends on the accessories, ladies! I'm personally leaning toward the black because I like how you can really see the lace detail against bare skin like the sleeves and chest.
As with most people, I became completey obsessed with the hit book series 50 Shades of Grey. If you haven't read it yet, I suggest you drop whatever you are doing and download it on your Kindle or run to the closest bookstore. Anyway, since reading all about Mr. Christian Grey, whenever I see something grey colored I am instantly reminded of the book. (more…)
