There's something about distressed denim that I'm in love with. Perhaps, it's the way each fray and rip wears in perfectly to the contours of my legs with each wear? The fact they already have that broken in feel and I don't have to do squats to make them stretch a bit? Ladies, I know you know what I'm talking about. Or they are just simply effortless and chic.
I stumbled across this amazing, detailed tutorial on the Free People blog, BLDG 25, showing you how to perfectly distress a pair of jeans. It really doesn't take any time at all to create a truly unique pair of jeans. Plus, you only need a few tools: a sharp razor blade (be careful!), card stock, scissors, sandpaper and a dremel, which is optional. (more…)

The Free People collection is out of this world. Their concert tees are the softest things ever that include the unique long back but short front. The style looks awesome with the black Splendid leggings. The beige and charcoal thermal were my favorite looks with the Citizen bell bottoms. I love the casual laid back look – and Free People is made for that. The long aztec capes were super cozy and also looked great with a skinny jean. JBrand or Siwy are my favorite. I wouldn't wear it with a flare considering the length it hits. But my most favorite of the collection, were the two maxi dresses that were so different and so special, all while being super comfortable. I loved every little thing about them. The length, the print, the tight fit, the slits. One of the dresses is your typical to the floor maxi dress (which is still great), but they made a to the floor maxi dress cardigan that has buttons going all the way down, but still includes the sexy slit. I couldn't decide which to purchase first – but it's a must have.
