There's no whiter's block when it comes to talking about these new and fabulous dresses! Not only do these dresses come back with a vengeance, but they also tell all of your "little black dresses" to take a seat. The time has come for your LWD.
White is the perfect color for spring (unless you're going to a wedding, in which case NO ONE but the bride should be wearing white!). This crisp and refreshing look goes well with any color and can be dressed up or down by simply using the perfect accessories.
The key to perfect white dresses is finding quality fabrics so it fits you well and lasts throughout weather conditions. For instance, the Kimberly Taylor Tyra Dress made out of 100% silk and the One Teaspoon Florence Dress in Vintage White made out of 100% cotton makes nice with mother nature for those perfect warm (and sometimes humid) spring and summer days ahead.
White isn't just for daytime either, the BOULEE Renee Dress, the Style Stalker Trust Fund Dress, and the Mark & James by Badgley Mischka One Shoulder Mini Dress are all examples of dresses that heat up the night. Keep it classic with black heels and accessories, or get creative and add a punch of springtime color, like a hot pink or lime green necklace.
White is here to stay!
The Prada Fall 2011 Runway Show in Milan has come and gone and has left me in love with some of the looks for fall. Clean but edgy, sophisticated and bold are a few words I'd use to describe the collection which included very ladylike pieces. The dresses were very form fitting and models looked like they stepped right off the set of Mad Men. The tailored look of this dress is very polished and definitely a must have in every woman's closet.
At her pre-show press conference on Thursday, Prada says the intent behind her engaging school-girlish collection was to make “glamorous and sexy materials, more innocent and fresh.†“The collection is not exactly childlike, but more ingénue….It’s fun, with a cartoon effect,†she said. “Women should look…more innocent, rather than making girls look like women.â€

The Veda Imperial Jacket would be a great piece to pair with the dresses above. Not just yoru ordinary “little black dress,” I love the cap sleeve on these dresses because it embodies exactly what Prada was aiming for: “more innocent” and “fresh”.
American fashion designers behind the famed Badgley Mischka brand, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, have branched out from bridal and red carpet gowns with their newest collection, Mark & James by Badgley Mischka. The collection meshes high fashion with more affordable prices- and who doesn't love that??
