Jacket

One of my favorite colors (ever) is military green. It's a neutral and goes with great with anything. What's not to love? Plus, it's a pretty color for fall so here are some items to keep in mind.

This SMYTHE Colorblock Blazer is super stylish because you can wear it with a fitted tee and jeans and you will instantly dress up your outfit. This lightweight TEXTILE Elizabeth and James Kelsey Parka has a snap button placet with two flap pockets. Its slouchy fit gives you an effortlessly cool look. I am obsessed with the style of anoraks so it's no surprise I love this SMYTHE Light Anorak too. The lined collar and cinched waist make it more girly and stylish. (more…)

The Kentucky Derby is just around the corner (May 7th) and one bet we're all safe to make is that we're going to see a lot of great style this year.  It's the perfect occasion to get all dolled up and dress to the nines.  Are you  heading to the Derby this year?  Here are a few of my favorite derby dresses:

Raise Your Red Lipstick Tubes to the Beautiful Dame Elizabeth Taylor

12:08 PM

One of Hollywood's greatest icons passed away on March 23, 2011. Actress Dame Elizabeth Taylor was suffering from various health problems, including congestive heart failure. However, that did not stop her from taking part in current events and non-profit organizations. She spent most of her time dedicated to AIDS-related charities and helped raise more than $100 million to help fight the disease. She helped start the American Foundation for AIDS Research, which she co-founded with actor Rock Hudson. She also donated money to purchase mobile care vans for AIDS sufferers in New Orleans, and took part in politics by endorsing Hilary Clinton in the 2008 presidential elections.

Some movies you may remember her from: Cleopatra, BUtterfield 8, Father of the Bride (the original), Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Dame Elizabeth Taylor was such a beautiful woman – not only with looks and great fashion, she worked hard and dedicated her life to help others around the world! Let's raise our red lipstick tubes (an ode to her character Gloria Wandrous in the movie BUtterfield 8) to the legendary Dame Elizabeth Taylor!

Now here's a fun fact about Elizabeth Taylor: She was the FIRST actor in history to be paid $1 million because of her epic movie Cleopatra!

Style Radar: Olivia Palermo

9:29 PM

I don't know about you, but a fashionista I'm crushing over right now is Olivia Palermo.  Everywhere this girl goes she's looking stylish from head to toe.  Looking H-O-T as she struts her stuff in New York City, Olivia shows off her long stems with Tibi's Leather Shorts. This look is sophisticated and fun.  All you'll need to pair you shorts with is sharp jacket with edgy shoulders and a pair of killer booties. Taking her style from uptown girl to the girl next door, Olivia pulls off a chill, boho vibe on the red carpet with her relaxed AG Adriano Goldschmied Jeans. Paired with a button up blouse and some wedges that “wow,” you'll be sporting Olivia's in no time.

Braving The Storm

11:47 AM

Another winter storm has roared through nearly half of the United States, and is classified as the "storm of the century." Some are snowed in with nearly twenty-plus inches of snow and others in torrential rainfall. Singer22 is here to help brave this epic storms in style. Celebrities and fashionista alike are always dressed to impress, and with our busy schedules weather can't stop us from looking our best.  The beautiful Kardashian's are bearing the cold in a gorgeous Tibi Nouveau Coat as seen on Kim, and a wild Funktional Predator Coat as seen on Kourtney. These coats are chic and ready for any blasting blizzard or unwanted February, Jack Frost. For a piece in areas with not as frigid temperatures wear a muuba Cion Fitted Leather Biker Jacket as seen on Alessandra Abrosolo. I love biker jackets, and they look absolutely fabulous with a Paula Bianco Wrap Scarf, too. For the warrior socialites, rock a muuba Ultra Fine Enzyme Washed Stunt Jacket as seen on Audrina Patridge.

For those in the eye of the "Blizzard 2011"…

Personally, I am snowed-in Chicago with nearly 25 inches of fluffy snow, and can barely see across the street. When I venture out in the winter wonderland I will be rocking one of these three trendy, functional and very warm coats. The faux fur is essential to warm your neck, and won't let any of the rascal snow flakes slip down your back. So for the trenches of a whiteout, these are the toasty coats I would recommend that will still leave you looking stylish and extremely warm. Don't forget your hat and boots!
