Launched in 2004 by founder and CEO, Jeff Rudes, J Brand set out create a jean that fit so perfectly it would fit the body like a glove. Starting out as an exclusive line at Ron Hermanâ€™s Melrose jean bar in 2005. The main goal of J Brand is to design timeless, classic and sophisticated [jeans|/j-brand.html?category=denim] that make a woman look and feel beautiful. With that in mind, J Brand discovered the ideal combination of style and comfort.
Jeff Rudes teamed up with celebrity stylist Susie Crippen to create that perfect jean. Their main focus was making jeans that the wearer felt amazing in. The core objective was to create a jean with no excessive hardware or embellishments. Jeff and Susie wanted a clean-cut pair of jeans meaning no back pocket design or shredded holes. The result? J Brand introduced the dark-washed skinny jean. They were the first company to impact the global market and drive this trend.
