In 1999, Scott Morrison founded the coveted denim line Paper Denim & Cloth and in 2004, he founded Earnest Sewn. Morrison was determined to create something that could not possibly be replicated, and so 3x1 was born. Offering its first wholesale collection in 2013, 3x1 represents Morrison's third concept/founding of a jeans brand.
The 3x1 production facility was launched in the same space as its retail store in Manhattan's SOHO District. The concept is one-of-a-kind as shoppers are able to watch every single pair of 3x1 jeans being made behind glass walls. In-house production is limited to 8-24 pieces of any given style, and less than 25 pieces are made per day.
